Foot And Ankle trauma course
held on 16th and 17th of March 2024
– The course focused solely on traumatic conditions in the foot and ankle region, specifically fractures in and around the ankle.
Special discussions and sessions were held for
– Posterior malleolus fracture
– Syndesmotic injury
– Pediatric ankle fractures
– Diabetic ankle fractures
Another day was dedicated to
– foot injuries
– Achilles tendon rupture,
– Malunited calcaneum fractures
– Neglected ankle fractures
Half of the time was dedicated to didactic lectures delivered by the faculty,
while the other half involved interactive case discussions where participants presented cases and discussed management strategies.
Participants were judged based on their management principles and strategies.
The course aimed to prepare participants for managing foot and ankle trauma patients in emergency or outpatient settings.

Dr. Ankit Khurana, a distinguished medical professional with MBBS, DNB, and FRCS (England) qualifications. Former Senior Resident at AIIMS New Delhi, now an Assistant Professor in Orthopedics at Dr. BSA Medical College and Hospital.
