Dr. Vivek Verma is an experienced orthopaedic oncologist trained at the premier cancer institute in India, Tata Memorial Cancer Centre Mumbai and has worked at MIOT Hospitals, Chennai. He has also worked at advanced orthopaediccentre at BG klinik, Tuebingen in Germany to enhance his skills in trauma and arthroplasty. With a demonstrated competency in his core subject of orthopaedic oncology, he is currently heading the division of musculoskeletal (orthopaedic) surgical oncology at Max Hospitals, Patparganj and Vaishali ( Delhi / NCR). He is also a visiting consultant at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Dehradun. He has also started a monthly visit in Bihar at Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, Patna.

As a student of orthopedics, in their first year of residency, one has to be familiar with the basics before dealing with patients. This includes ward and Operation theatre (OT) discipline. As an orthopedic surgeon, there are a few surgeries that everyone must be able to do. Going through them once before each OT, even when one is assisting can give clear and accurate learning and understanding about each surgical procedure.
As a clinician there are various clinical tests that one has to use to reach a diagnosis. Most of the tests are learned with practice and this aids them to diagnose the exact clinical condition. However, if once learned in the wrong way it is very difficult to unlearn the same.
